David Thuku, Founder and Managing Director of Sandavy Safaris, chairs the Kenya board of Global Relations which is a Swedish NGO that partners with a local Community Based Organization (CBO), Wayo Wayo, located in the Kibera slum. Wayo Wayo strives to use music and dance to inform on matters of health, HIV /Aids, human rights and other  community issues.

Due to limited funding Wayo Wayo has initiated local income-generating  activities and also calls upon well wishers, corporate and individual sponsors to help provide resources for any of the projects mentioned below.

  • Kibera Slum Tours –  Wayo Wayo staff through the supervision of Sandavy Safaris and Guest House offer tours of Kibera.  The fee for tours goes directly to Wayo Wayo to sponsor its various activities.  We highly recommend these tours.  Photography and filming can be arranged by Wayo Wayo Media.
  • Nairobi City Centre Tours – Walking tours in Nairobi by Wayo Wayo
  • Creative House – Centre in Kibera to showcase talents such as dancing, art, crafts
  • Cyber Training – Wayo Wayo run internet café and computer literacy training
  • Cycling Training
  • Education through Music and Dance
